Project Keywords:

Allatostatin receptor, structural studies, cellular senescence

Techniques:

Bioinformatics, nano-scale studies and in vivo techniques

Project Summary:

We've identified a novel GPCR, Allatostatin receptor, in stick insect. We suppose that growth inhibitory roles of this receptor can be used in cancer treatment. Therefore we focus on structural characterization of the receptor and finding its binding pocket for the ligand. In these structural studies we combined bioinformatics with nano-technology and molecular techniques. We've functionally characterized the receptor via FRET-based techniques.
